Terms of Service
Last updated: October 19, 2026
Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using Victors Digest (the “Site”), operated by Boardwalk Digital, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site. If you create an account, post content, subscribe, or make a purchase, you confirm that you are at least 13 years old (or the age of digital consent in your region) and that you have the authority to accept these terms.
Rules of Conduct
You may use the Site for lawful, personal, and non-commercial reading and participation. You agree not to:
- scrape, crawl, harvest, or systematically download content, data, or user information without our prior written permission;
- spam, flood, or otherwise disrupt comments, the Blue Board, newsletters, or other interactive features;
- post or transmit content that is illegal, harassing, hateful, threatening, defamatory, obscene, or that promotes violence or harm;
- impersonate another person or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity;
- attempt to gain unauthorized access to accounts, systems, or networks, or interfere with the Site’s security or availability;
- use the Site to distribute malware, phishing, or other harmful software;
- use automated means to create accounts, post content, or bypass rate limits or access controls.
We may remove content or restrict access that we believe violates these rules or applicable law.
Intellectual Property
Victors Digest and Boardwalk Digital own or license the Site’s text, logos, design, code, images, trademarks, and other materials, unless otherwise noted. The Victors Digest name and branding are trademarks of Boardwalk Digital. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or create derivative works from Site content without prior written permission, except for limited personal, non-commercial use (such as sharing a link to an article). User-generated content (for example comments or Blue Board posts) remains yours, but by posting it you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, display, and distribute that content on the Site and related channels. Third-party marks (including those of the University of Michigan) belong to their owners; Victors Digest is not affiliated with the University of Michigan.
Disclaimer and Limitation of Liability
The Site and its content are provided “as is” and “as available.” We do not warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components, or that information on the Site is complete, accurate, or current. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Boardwalk Digital and its operators are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising from your use of (or inability to use) the Site, technical issues, downtime, or reliance on Site content. Our total liability for any claim related to the Site will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us for a subscription or digital product in the twelve months before the claim, or (b) fifty U.S. dollars (US$50). Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; in those places, our liability is limited to the maximum extent allowed by law. Nothing here limits liability for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence where such limitation is prohibited.
E-commerce: Payments, Subscriptions, Refunds, Cancellations, and Shipping
If Victors Digest offers paid subscriptions, memberships, or digital products:
- Payments. Prices are shown at checkout in the stated currency. By completing a purchase you authorize us (or our payment processor) to charge the payment method you provide. You are responsible for applicable taxes.
- Subscriptions. Subscriptions renew automatically at the then-current rate unless you cancel before the renewal date through your account settings or by contacting us. We may change subscription prices with reasonable notice; continued use after the change constitutes acceptance.
- Refunds. Digital content and subscription fees are generally non-refundable once access has been granted, except where required by law or where we state otherwise at purchase. If a charge was made in error, contact us promptly and we will review it.
- Cancellations. You may cancel a subscription at any time. Cancellation stops future renewals; access typically continues through the end of the paid period already charged.
- Shipping. Victors Digest is primarily a digital publication. If we ever sell physical merchandise, shipping terms, costs, and timeframes will be stated at checkout. Risk of loss for physical goods passes according to the carrier’s terms once shipped. Digital products are delivered electronically and involve no physical shipping.
Promotional offers may have additional conditions disclosed when you redeem them.
Account Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account, or restrict access to parts of the Site, at any time if you violate these Terms, misuse the Site, or if we reasonably believe it is necessary to protect the Site, other users, or legal compliance. You may delete your account from your Account page. Upon termination, your right to use the Site ends; provisions that by their nature should survive (including intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and dispute-related terms) will survive.
Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page will change when we do. Continued use of the Site after changes are posted means you accept the revised Terms. If a change is material, we may provide additional notice (for example by email or a site banner) when practicable.
